I am a self-taught photographer with over 25 years of experience in editorial and advertising photography. Alongside my commissioned work, I have always pursued personal art projects — photography has been my passport to explore different subjects, stories and situations.
"If I want to investigate something, or get to know someone better, I do it through photography. As long as I get an emotional response, I will keep shooting."
My editorial collaborations include The Observer (The Guardian), Vogue, Architectural Digest (AD), Les Inrockuptibles, El Dorado Experience, and a long-term relationship with El País Semanal.
I have photographed campaigns for brands such as Uniqlo, Fly Emirates, Diesel, Adidas, Vodafone, Virgin, Ikea, Desigual, Lotto and Carolina Herrera.
In 2002, I was awarded FNAC New Talent Photo, which led to a travelling solo exhibition across Fnac centres in Spain, France and Portugal (2003–2005).
My work has been exhibited internationally, including a solo show at the Rencontres d’Arles photography festival (curated by Luis Venegas, guest curator Christian Lacroix). Other exhibitions include Silenci (Sala Iguapop, Barcelona, 2005), Llámalo Foto (Fnac, 2006–2007), Crossing (080 Barcelona Fashion Week), Lo Que Llevo Dentro (Galería Fernando Pradilla, Madrid, 2011), A Cop d’Ull (Palau de la Virreina, Barcelona, 2013), and many more.
I have contributed to Diccionario de fotógrafos españoles (La Fábrica, 2014), taught at Elisava and IDEP, and written for the Fundació Miró’s blog.
Currently, I am the Director of the Fashion Photography Postgraduate at IDEP Barcelona, while also working as a director and visual curator for international advertising projects (Valtoria, Bancolombia).
Currently presenting my book Disparos Contados (published by Anagrama).
